Steamrolling right over my euphoria of the contest with (of which I regard myself at least the moral victor, since he stooped so low as to actually employ demotivation tactics in an attempt to remove competition ) comes the typerhigh of NaNoWriMo! www.nanowrimo.org/nl
This month is all I have to produce a novel of no less then 50.000 words. After all the modeling of the past year, I really feel like putting my keyboard to good use and pound away to describe the stories that are continually running around in my head, often chasing each other around.
In my case it won't be a finished novel of 50.000 words, but a continuation of the Nullworld novel I'm writing. I used this for my first participation of NaNoWriMo in 2006 and 2007 as well (couldn't do it in 2008, because I was knee-deep in debris that used to be my kitchen) so I have roughly 100.000 words on paper already.
When you're typing like mad to make the 1.667 words a day quota, you don't spend too much time on quality control, so it's my intention to use everything written so far as a draft that will need a complete re-write sooner or later. I've revised important parts of the storyline in my head on numerous occasions. That's planned for next year, when I've moved into my new house with the awesome office / game room / home cinema in the attic. Ooooh, I'm gonna spend some sweet hours there!
But for now it's loads of coffee and typing like there's no tomorrow every evening… And I'm already 1400 words behind!

No, not the movie...
Yello!
It's been a quiet while, since I've been mostly working behind the scenes on my writing projects. Nothing much to show visually, I'm afraid. But one thing I really am proud of to share with you guys is the spotlight that ~Marrekie (https://www.deviantart.com/marrekie) and myself received from the great guys over at www.vanishingpoint.biz.
It's a short piece on our collaborations as 3D artist. You can find it over here. I'd love to hear what you guys think of it!
Done and done
Gooooood morning everybody!
Well yesterday was the day that ~Marrekie (https://www.deviantart.com/marrekie) and meself finally were able to post our designs of the friendly contest we were having. The due date was actually the 31st of January, but I was unable to finish my work (http://ywander.deviantart.com/art/76-Advanced-Transport-200106040) any earlier then last night.
I don't want to complain about my lack of modelling time, because it's such a beautiful day outside and I knew this was gonna happen anyway. Besides, it doens;t matter because even if :iconMarrekie: hadn't won on such a technicality, I think it's obvious his design is the better (http://marrekie.devianta

I guess it's about time I write something here, before it'll be a full year since the last post. I don't wanna come across all emo, so I'll keep it short.
The last two years have been very stressful for me and this takes its toll. There have been times where I was on the verge of throwing in the towel and crawl into bed never to come out
literally. From a creative point of view is the last year a complete write-off (no pun intended). At one point I was convinced that the creative part of my brain was broken and I was ready to give up on all my dreams of writing & designing. It was work in the office, work at home, vegetate in front of
